A Kingdom Unseen is a collection of portraits and stories of people living in a vast country steeped in history, a country on the cusp of change.
Alex Schlacher is a photographer and author, originally from Austria and now living in England. Her work has covered areas as diverse as law enforcement and the military, craftspeople, museums, rugby, working dogs and travel. She is a regular contributor to the Austrian news weekly Profil and has published a photo book called Arc of the Gurkha in 2014, documenting the careers of Gurkha soldiers in the British Army. The book was shortlisted for the 2015 British Book Design and Production Award.
