FAQs

1. What kind of books do you publish?

We publish an array of books, from biography and memoirs to fantasy/horror novels to children’s books. We have a large selection of books that focus on the Arab World and Arab horses.

2. How did Medina Publishing get started?

It started back in 2009 with The Arab Horse and there was only meant to be one book! But one thing led to another and we’ve expanded from a team of two to a team of 9 with countless freelance partners. Our mission is to educate and entertain, to foster cultural understanding, particularly between the West and the Islamic world, and to encourage respect for our planet and all its inhabitants.

3. Do you have internship/work experience opportunities?

We offer 1-2 week voluntary work experience opportunities and we are able to cover reasonable travel expenses. If you are interested in doing some work experience with us, please email your CV and a short cover letter to info@medinapublishing.com.

4. Do you take unsolicited manuscripts?

We read all the manuscripts sent to us, but may not always be able to respond, those we do respond to may be delayed. You can submit your manuscript to submissions@medinapublishing.com. Please make sure your submission fits our company guidelines.

5. Do you have any advice for someone that wants to submit a manuscript?

Make sure your summary of the book is as concise and attention-grabbing as possible. Include what you think is the unique selling point of the book and have a think about who and why people would want to read it.
