Kitty Carruthers and Peter Harrigan were at the Egyptian Event in Lexington, Kentucky, during the second week of June 2010.
The board behind them announces one of the star prizes for the auction held during the gala dinner on 11 June – a specially commissioned painting by Peter Upton of the winning bidder’s chosen horse. In the silent auction, the bidding was also fierce for quarter-bound editions of Peter Upton’s Out of the Desert and The Arab Horse, as well as framed prints of his paintings.
The visit to Kentucky reinforced what we always knew – that love of the Arab horse unites the world and transcends the boundaries of race and place!
